A fine art seriesĀ on the loss of tradition and perplexities of religion's placement in this dissipation. Of how culture mourns for itself. Of rupture and decadence.

Is one losing culture when religion takes precedence?
Can culture and religion be a beautiful chasm or will one be a shadow of its past? Which one will we let go?

I intended to juxtapose the frailty of this situation, the crumpling of a form, with the a sculptural beautiful form. There is something beautiful about the multivalency of birdcages too. How it restricts freedom but at the same time, celebrates beauty.

Do we see this as a rapture or a revolution?
